Rated to carry up to 20kg, so it handles a full pannier setup, a loaded trunk bag or strapped cargo for commuting and touring. Aluminium alloy gives that carrying strength while keeping the rack light and rustproof. It's a practical, durable everyday load-carrier.
A slider lets you set the top platform parallel with the ground, so panniers hang square and a trunk bag or load sits flat regardless of your frame or wheel size. Set it once at install and it stays put. Little touches like this make loading and daily use easier.
It's designed to bolt onto the Auren EV5, and because it uses standard rear pannier mounts, it also fits most other disc-brake bikes with rear rack mounting points. That makes it a straightforward rear-rack option whether or not you ride an EV5. Check your bike has the mounts before ordering.
Designed for the Auren EV5. It also fits most bikes with the right mounts.
Bike → Auren EV5 (direct fit)
Brakes → disc brake bikes
Mounts → frame needs rear pannier mounting points
Beyond the EV5, it bolts onto most disc-brake bikes that have rear pannier mounts. Note the bottom mount runs inline with the mudguard bolt, so a longer M6 bolt is needed there (see the Installation guide). If your bike lacks rear pannier mounts, or you’re unsure, get in touch before ordering.
Tools needed: hex/Allen keys to suit the rack bolts, a torque wrench, the rack's mounting bolts, and a longer M6 bolt for the bottom mount (a post-mount brake caliper bolt works well).
Offer the rack up to your frame's rear pannier mounts and install all bolts loosely first — don't tighten anything yet.
At the bottom mount, the bolt runs inline with the mudguard bolt, so use a longer M6 bolt (such as a post-mount caliper bolt) to pick up both the rack and the mudguard.
Adjust the slider so the top platform sits parallel with the ground.
Tighten all bolts evenly to spec once everything is aligned; don't over-tighten into the frame.
Check the rack is solid and clear of the tyre and brake before loading it.
Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, bikes made by the person you can actually reach.
The EV5 came out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted an eBike that rides like a bike, not a gadget. No gears to think about, no modes to fiddle with, no apps. You get on and go.
Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're choosing a size, sorting a service, or need something years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike.
That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
Not sure which size suits you, or how the automatic gearbox handles your commute? Chat with Will over email or on a call before you order.
