Light and strong, so the rack adds carrying capacity without much weight and won't rust. It's a good balance of load capability and low weight for an everyday eBike rack.
The rack bolts to the front of the fork crown and to mounts on the lower fork legs, which carries the load low and close to the wheel. A low mounting point keeps a loaded rack stable and steady, rather than the top-heavy sway you get from a rack mounted high up.
It's designed to bolt straight onto the Auren EV5 and EV4, and will also fit any fork that has a front-of-crown bolt mount plus fork-leg mounts in the right position (see the Compatibility guide).
Designed for the Auren EV5 and EV4. It also fits any fork with the right mounting points.
If your fork is missing either mount, the rack can’t be fitted. If you’re fitting it to something other than an EV5 or EV4, measure your fork mounts before ordering, or get in touch and we’ll confirm.
Tools needed: hex/Allen keys to suit the rack bolts, a torque wrench, and the rack's mounting bolts.
Offer the rack up to the fork and line the upper mount up with the fork-crown bolt and the lower arms up with the fork-leg mounts.
Start all bolts by hand to avoid cross-threading.
Level the rack, then tighten all bolts evenly to the fork and rack torque specs; don't over-tighten into the fork.
Check the rack is solid and sits clear of the tyre, brake and any mudguard or light before loading it.
Optional: Unbolt the front light from the handlebar and bolt it to the light tab on the under right-side of the rack.
Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, bikes made by the person you can actually reach.
The EV5 came out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted an eBike that rides like a bike, not a gadget. No gears to think about, no modes to fiddle with, no apps. You get on and go.
Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're choosing a size, sorting a service, or need something years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike.
That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
Not sure which size suits you, or how the automatic gearbox handles your commute? Chat with Will over email or on a call before you order.
