Width and sweep, built to your figure

Rather than a fixed stock width or flare angle, tell us your target width and flare (for a drop bar) or width and sweep (for a flat/trekking bar) — from your current bar or what you know suits your riding — and we design to those exact figures.

Why titanium for a touring bar

It takes the edge off vibration on long days better than aluminium, without carbon's crash-damage risk on a bike that's likely to be dropped, knocked, or loaded with bags rubbing against it. It also won't rust or corrode over a long, wet tour.

Frame/specWhat you need
Clamp31.8mm — the standard fit for the vast majority of touring stems
WidthMachined to your exact figure — tell us what you need

This is a made-to-order bar — if your stem uses a clamp size other than 31.8mm, or you’re not sure which bar type or dimensions suit your touring plans, get in touch or reach out to Will and we’ll confirm before the build starts.

Tools needed: torque wrench, hex/Allen keys to match your stem's clamp bolts, carbon assembly paste if your stem clamp is carbon or you want extra security. If fitting a drop bar, you'll also need new bar tape.

1

Confirm your stem's clamp diameter matches 31.8mm before ordering.

2

Loosen the stem face-plate bolts and remove any existing bar.

3

Centre the new bar in the clamp, checking rotation/flare sits where expected for your riding position.

4

Start all face-plate bolts by hand to avoid cross-threading.

5

Tighten the face-plate bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the stem manufacturer's torque spec, keeping an even gap top and bottom.

6

Fit brake/shift levers, grips or bar tape, then check bar rotation and lever reach before riding.

Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, frames made by the person you can actually reach.

Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.

Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike. Every Auren titanium is built to last decades and backed by real support that doesn't disappear after delivery.

That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
