Have a question before you buy?
The clearance that makes this an all-road fork rather than a pure road one. It's enough for fast 28–32mm road tyres and for gravel rubber up to 38mm, so a single fork covers tarmac, commuting and light gravel without compromise. Leave a little margin for mud and debris if you ride the upper end of that range.
This is the variation you choose at checkout. Internal routing has the brake hose enter at the top of the fork leg — simpler to set up and service. Hidden routing has the hose enter through the steerer for the cleanest, most integrated front end. Pick the one your frame and cockpit are designed for; they aren't interchangeable after purchase.
These two numbers determine how the fork sits in your frame and how the bike steers. The 385mm axle-to-crown sets ride height and matches all-road frame designs; the 51mm offset gives quick, stable all-road handling. Both need to suit your frame's intended geometry, so check them before buying.
Full carbon construction keeps the fork to 409g (uncut steerer), light for a fork with this much tyre clearance and mounting versatility. Carbon also damps high-frequency road buzz better than alloy, which adds comfort over long days.
Five things decide fit: frame geometry, steerer/headset, axle, brake, and cable routing.
If you’re unsure whether the 385mm/51mm geometry suits your frame, check your frame maker’s recommended fork specs or get in touch before ordering.
Tools needed: torque wrench, hex/Allen keys, carbon assembly paste, a carbon-specific cutting blade and saw guide (if cutting the steerer), an expander/compression plug, and a crown race setting tool.
Confirm fit before fitting: 385mm axle-to-crown and 51mm offset suit your frame, your hub is 12x100, your caliper is flat mount, and your headset is tapered.
Measure the required steerer length (head tube + headset stack + spacers + stem) and mark it. Cut the 300mm steerer to length with a carbon blade and saw guide, then deburr; leave a few mm of spacer above the stem.
Set the crown race onto the fork, then install the fork through the head tube with the headset.
Fit an expander/compression plug that covers the full stem clamp area — do not use a star nut in a carbon steerer.
Route the brake hose for your variation: Internal enters at the top of the fork leg; Hidden enters through the steerer.
Fit the stem with carbon assembly paste, set headset preload with the top cap, then torque the stem bolts to the stem manufacturer's spec.
Install the wheel and torque the 12x100 axle, fit the flat-mount caliper, then bed in the brakes.
Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, frames made by the person you can actually reach.
Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.
Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike. Every Auren titanium is built to last decades and backed by real support that doesn't disappear after delivery.
That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
