Offset — 50mm / 55mm flip-chip

A flip-chip at the dropout switches the fork offset between 50mm and 55mm, so you can change the steering feel without buying a second fork. More offset quickens the steering for loaded touring; less settles it for high-speed gravel. One fork, two handling characters.

Weight — 477g

Full carbon construction keeps the fork to 477g (uncut steerer) without giving up clearance or mounts. That's light enough for a fast gravel build yet strong enough to carry load on a bikepacking rig. Trimming the steerer to your fit brings the fitted weight down slightly.

Tyre clearance — 700x50C / 27.5x2.25

Room for genuinely big rubber on both wheel sizes. Run 700C up to 50mm for speed and rolling efficiency, or drop to 27.5in at 2.25in for more volume and grip on rough terrain, with mud clearance either way. It's one fork for two very different setups.

Mounts — 3-pack adventure mounts

Triple-boss mounts on each leg take cargo cages, fork bags or extra bottles, so you can carry water and kit on the fork and keep your frame triangle free. It's built for self-supported days and bikepacking.

Three things decide fit: your frame’s axle-to-crown, your axle standard, and your brake mount. Match all three and the fork drops in.

Not sure your frame and headset suit this fork? Check your frame’s axle-to-crown spec, see Auren’s forks guide, or email info@aurenbikes.com.au and Will will work it out with you.

Tools needed: thru-axle, headset spacers, an expander/compression plug, a torque wrench, a hacksaw and cutting guide (if trimming the steerer), grease and carbon assembly paste.

1

Set your offset first. Position the flip-chip at the dropouts to 50mm or 55mm before fitting, so you're not redoing the front end later.

2

Measure and cut the steerer to length if needed. It's 300mm uncut — use a carbon blade and cutting guide, leave room for spacers and stem, deburr the edge, and don't clamp a full-length uncut steerer under load.

3

Fit the crown race and headset, then install the fork into the head tube with the bearings greased.

4

Fit an expander/compression plug that covers the full stem clamp area (not a star nut, which can damage a carbon steerer), then install the stem and spacers and set headset preload before torquing. Use carbon paste on the steerer clamp and torque the stem bolts to the stem maker's spec.

5

Mount the flat-mount caliper and rotor — 160mm direct, or 140mm with the correct adapter.

6

Fit the wheel and tighten the 12x100 thru-axle to spec, then check tyre clearance with the wheel centred.

7

Run your cable or hose through your chosen routing — internal at the fork-leg top, or hidden through the steerer.

8

Bolt any cargo cages or accessories to the 3-pack mounts, then check brake function and axle torque before riding. Carbon parts are torque-sensitive, so always use a torque wrench and the component maker's figures.

Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, frames made by the person you can actually reach.

Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.

Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike. Every Auren titanium is built to last decades and backed by real support that doesn't disappear after delivery.

That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
