Have a question before you buy?
The 35mm depth is a sweet spot for all-road — enough for some aero benefit and stability in crosswinds, without the handling penalty of a deep section. The wide 21mm internal (28mm outer) supports 28–45mm tyres with a good profile, so you can run fast road rubber or drop to wider gravel tyres at lower, more comfortable pressures. Tubeless-ready with tape installed and valves included, so you're set up for lower pressures and fewer flats.
1500g is light for a versatile all-road wheelset, which makes the bike feel quick to accelerate and easy on the climbs. It's low enough for a fast road build yet robust enough for all-road and gravel use. The DT240 hub option trims a little more weight again.
DT Swiss hubs are known for reliability and easy servicing, with a proven star-ratchet engagement. The DT350 (standard) is the dependable workhorse; the DT240 upgrade adds lower weight and faster engagement for a more responsive feel. Both use a Centrelock rotor interface and take a Shimano 11-speed or SRAM XD freehub.
Sapim CX-Ray are among the most respected bladed spokes, prized for strength, fatigue life and a touch of aero. A 24-front, 24-rear count gives a strong, stable, all-road-capable wheel. It's a quality hand-built wheelset, not a mass-produced one.
The hubs must match your frame and fork axles, and the freehub must match your drivetrain.
(Other hub/axle standards can be custom built — ask.)
These hubs use Centrelock rotors. Use Centrelock rotors, or 6-bolt rotors with a Centrelock adapter.
700C, 28–45mm, tubeless ready (tape installed, valves included). Also runs standard clincher tyres with tubes.
Disc brake only.
Hubs must match your fork and frame axle spec, and your rotors must suit Centrelock. If you need a different hub, axle or drivetrain standard, we can custom build to suit — reach out.
Tools needed: Centrelock lockring tool, cassette lockring tool and chain whip, a torque wrench, your thru-axles, and a tubeless kit with sealant.
Fit your Centrelock rotors to the hubs and tighten the lockrings to spec (or fit 6-bolt rotors with a Centrelock adapter).
Install your cassette onto the rear freehub — a Shimano 11-speed or SRAM XD cassette to match the freehub you chose — and torque the lockring to spec.
Set up the tyres tubeless: the rims come taped with valves included, so seat the tyre, add sealant and inflate to seat the beads (or fit standard tyres with tubes).
Fit the wheels into the frame and fork — 12x100 front, 12x142 rear — and tighten the thru-axles to spec.
Check rotor alignment in the calipers, confirm the wheels run true and centred, then bed in the brakes before riding.
Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, frames made by the person you can actually reach.
Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.
Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike. Every Auren titanium is built to last decades and backed by real support that doesn't disappear after delivery.
That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
