This is SRAM's electronic road groupset with a front derailleur included, giving a traditional two-chainring setup rather than the 1x-only XPLR gravel configuration. Shifting is fully wireless, paired and fine-tuned through the SRAM AXS app.
Flat Mount is the standard disc caliper mount on modern road and all-road frames, and hydraulic actuation gives consistent, low-effort braking power that doesn't fade or need cable adjustment the way mechanical or rim brakes do.
This bundle covers shifting, braking, chain, and derailleurs, but not the crank or cassette, so factor those into your build separately. Auren can help match crank length, chainring size, and cassette range to your riding as part of the parts spec conversation.
Flat Mount disc brake standard — not for post mount or rim-brake frames.
2x-specific (front derailleur included) — needs a frame with a front derailleur mount, not a 1x-only frame.
114-link Flattop chain included — confirm this suits your frame size and gearing; shortening is a standard part of drivetrain setup.
2x 160mm Paceline A2 Centerlock rotors included — confirm 160mm suits your frame’s brake mount and your intended use (larger rotors may be preferred for heavier riders or loaded riding).
Tools needed: full groupset installation is a specialist mechanical build — this isn't a bolt-on upgrade to an existing bike. Auren handles this as part of a titanium build.
Confirm compatibility. Check your frame supports Flat Mount disc brakes and a 2x front derailleur before ordering.
Choose your missing parts. Select a compatible crank and cassette to complete the drivetrain — Auren can help match these to your riding.
Fit derailleurs and shifters. Mount the front and rear derailleurs and shifters, and pair everything through the SRAM AXS app.
Fit brakes and bleed the system. Install the Flat Mount calipers and rotors, and bleed the hydraulic lines to spec.
Set up and test. Run the AXS auto-setup for derailleur limits and trim, then test shift and brake through the full range before riding.
SRAM was founded in Chicago in 1987 and built its reputation on the original Grip Shift twist shifter, a genuinely new way to change gears that challenged Shimano's dominance of the drivetrain market. The company has since grown into one of the two major global groupset brands, and now also owns RockShox, Zipp, Truvativ, and several other component brands under one roof. SRAM was first to bring a dedicated 1x (single chainring) drivetrain to market, a format that has become close to standard on modern gravel and mountain bikes for its simplicity and reliability. Its current lineup spans mechanical and wireless AXS electronic groupsets across road, gravel, and mountain disciplines, alongside brakes, cranksets, and cassettes. On a gravel or adventure titanium build, SRAM is a common alternative to Shimano for riders who prefer its shift feel, want a wireless AXS setup, or are drawn to its 1x-first approach to gravel drivetrains.
Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, frames made by the person you can actually reach.
Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.
Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike. Every Auren titanium is built to last decades and backed by real support that doesn't disappear after delivery.
That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
