Low standover, a few ways to get there

A dropped or sloping top tube, a compact frame layout, or a curved top tube can all lower standover height, depending on your chosen discipline and riding position. The right approach depends on your frame type and how much clearance you need — we'll confirm the best method for your build during your consultation.

Derailleur or Pinion, your choice

A standard derailleur groupset (mechanical or electronic, 1x or 2x, road or MTB) suits most riders and keeps parts simple and widely available. A Pinion gearbox trades a small weight penalty for sealed, low-maintenance gearing with no derailleur to knock out of alignment — a strong option if reliability matters more than outright weight. Both are fully compatible with a low standover frame.

This deposit is the start of the process, not a fixed spec

It secures your place in the build queue and covers your design consultation. Every dimension and part choice — discipline, geometry, drivetrain, tyre clearance, brakes, finish — is confirmed with Will before the frame is built.

This deposit works with any Auren frame discipline and drivetrain — tell us what you’re after during your consultation and we’ll confirm the full spec before the build starts.

Tools needed: None — this is the start of a consultation process, not a bolt-on part.

1

Consultation. We talk through your riding, frame discipline, low standover requirements, and drivetrain preference (derailleur or Pinion).

2

Geometry. Confirmed via a professional bike fit, mirrored measurements from your current bike, or a standard profile matched to your height and riding style.

3

Full spec confirmation. Tyre clearance, bottom bracket, headset, dropouts, brakes, seatpost, cable routing, mounts, and finish are all locked in.

4

Balance payment. The remaining balance is confirmed and paid once your full spec is set, before the frame goes into the build queue.

5

Build. Your frame is welded and finished in Melbourne to the confirmed geometry and spec.

6

Delivery or pickup. Collect from the Melbourne workshop or have it shipped.

Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, frames made by the person you can actually reach.

Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.

Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike. Every Auren titanium is built to last decades and backed by real support that doesn't disappear after delivery.

That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
