An aerospace-grade titanium alloy that's light, springy and extremely durable. That springiness is what lets the cage grip the bottle firmly and keep gripping it over years of use, rather than fatiguing and loosening like plastic. It also doesn't rust or corrode, so it stays secure and looks the same in ten years as it does today.
The bottle enters and exits from the side instead of straight up the top. On small frames and compact front triangles — where there often isn't enough clearance above the cage to lift a bottle clear — that's the difference between a bottle you can reach and one you can't. It also makes grabbing and returning the bottle quicker mid-ride.
The standard brushed finish is clean and understated and suits any build. If you'd prefer a colour, anodising is available on request — a titanium surface treatment rather than paint, so it won't chip or flake.
Fits standard frames and standard bottles — titanium’s springiness grips the bottle firmly so it stays put on rough ground.
If you run an unusually small frame, a non-standard mount, or an oversized insulated bottle, check clearance or get in touch before ordering.
Tools needed: a hex/Allen key to suit your bottle-cage bolts (commonly 3mm or 4mm), and two M5 bottle-cage bolts if they aren't already on your frame.
Hold the cage over your frame's two bottle bosses and use the 20mm slot to set the height — higher on the bosses gives easier bottle access in a small frame.
Start both bolts by hand to avoid cross-threading.
Tighten evenly and gently to your frame's bottle-boss torque (typically low, around 3 Nm); don't over-tighten, especially into a carbon frame.
Slot a bottle in and check entry and exit clearance. If it's tight, loosen the bolts, adjust the height on the slot, and re-tighten.
Auren designs and builds in Melbourne. One workshop, one builder, frames made by the person you can actually reach.
Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.
Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike. Every Auren titanium is built to last decades and backed by real support that doesn't disappear after delivery.
That's reflected in our reviews: five stars across Google and Trustpilot.
