This listing exists for riders who want the fit process to lead the build, not a riding-discipline label. A professional dynamic bike fit gives exact measurements of your body in motion, and Will designs the frame around how you actually ride — the most precise path, and the one we'd suggest starting with for a made-to-measure frame specifically.
That's fine — tell us how and where you actually want to ride (tarmac, gravel, singletrack, loaded touring, or a mix) and we'll recommend the tyre clearance, dropout standard, and brake mount to suit, the same way we would for any of the discipline-specific framesets, just starting from your fit rather than a category.
Once geometry and intended use are set, bottom bracket, headset, cable routing, seatpost diameter, and mounts are all specified the same way as every other Auren frame — T47 recommended for the BB, semi-integrated tapered for the headset, and mounts added to suit whatever you're planning to carry.
This is a made-to-order frame with no fixed discipline — tell us how you ride and we’ll confirm the right spec, or reach out to Will if you want to talk it through first.
Tools needed: None for you — this is a frame, not a bolt-on part, so "installation" is really the build process.
Geometry session. A dynamic bike fit (in the Melbourne workshop or via emailed report data), mirrored measurements from your current bike, or a standard profile — your choice, though we recommend the dynamic fit for a made-to-measure build.
Use and spec confirmation. Tell us how and where you'll ride, and we confirm tyre clearance, bottom bracket, headset, cable routing, dropout standard, brake mount, seatpost diameter, and mounts to suit.
Build. Your frame is welded and finished in Melbourne to the confirmed geometry and spec.
Finish. Raw brushed titanium by default, or your chosen logo, custom graphics, paint, or anodising applied.
Delivery or pickup. Collect from the Melbourne workshop or have it shipped, ready to build up with your chosen groupset and wheels.

Every Auren titanium bike comes out of a simple idea. Founder and engineer Will Young wanted to build custom titanium the way it should be done: a frame shaped around the rider, not picked from a range. Your geometry, your parts, your bike, designed with you from the first conversation to the final build.
Building direct means there's no dealer between you and us. When you're planning a build, talking through your fit, or need something sorted years down the track, you talk to Will, the person who made the bike.
